New HYTEs Free Summer Academy
Join us this summer! Thanks to our generous sponsors and donors, New HYTEs Summer Academy provides tennis and academic programming free of charge to under-served families in New Haven who may not otherwise be able to access tennis instruction and academic support. Students who will be entering 2nd grade through entering 8th grade in September 2026 may apply for a spot. The option of free breakfast and lunch is provided by New Haven Public School; no transportation is available.

Time: 8:30 am-3:30 pm M-F

Summer fun!
tennis + academics + activities
Tennis, reading, and outdoor sports/games happen daily, and throughout the week students also participate in math tutoring, entrepreneurship lessons, and arts & crafts / STEM activities. Students are a good match for our program if they:
- Are interested in playing/learning tennis (beginners welcome!)
- Want to maintain their math and reading skills in a fun, supportive environment
- Enjoy hands-on activitiesÂ
- Can meet our high expectations for behavior and sportsmanship
- Can attend regularly during the requested weeks
