2025-26
work options
For the 2025-26 academic year there are a few after-school work options for high school students enrolled in New HYTEs programming. Please read the information below carefully, then apply at the link on the bottom of the page.
2025-26
general information
- Students must apply for the positions. There are not enough positions for all students. Selection will be based on a student’s demonstrated ability to be reliable, communicate effectively, work as part of a team, and take initiative.
- Preference is given to current New HYTEs participants, but recent attendees may also be considered.
- If Youth@Work funding is available, students must meet the application deadline to be eligible for hire.
- Students must commit to working at least half the year and communicate promptly about absences or major schedule changes.
- Bussing from most high schools is available to our Tuesday/Thursday work site. No bussing is available on Mondays.
2025-26
available positions
- Monday Tennis Coach from 5-6 pm after the 3-5 pm high school programming (or 4-6 pm if in good academic standing)
- Tuesday Math Tutor from 4-6 pm
- Tuesday Reading Tutor and/or Badminton Coach from 4-6 pm
- Thursday Math Tutor from 4-6 pm after the 3-4 pm high school programming
- Thursday Reading Tutor and/or Badminton Coach from 4-6 pm after the 3-4 pm high school programming
- Behind the Scenes – work on creating a newsletter, planning crafts, or some other task that you propose. Time and location to be determined based on the task.
